Thank you a lot for giving everyone remarkably marvellous possiblity to check tips from this web site. It is usually very amazing and packed with a great time for me personally and my office peers to visit your blog minimum 3 times per week to read through the latest things you have. And lastly, I'm just at all times fulfilled for the magnificent inspiring ideas you serve. Selected two tips on this page are clearly the most impressive I've ever had.

I have heard similar stories in my North Carolina law practice. I hope they can come to a resolution before involuntary guardianship action is taken. Tough decisions for the kids lie ahead...

Great analysis of the McCourt divorce! I am a fan of postnuptial agreements, but only (as you said) where they are drafted to meet specific goals to help save the marriage rather than motivate by greed!

It's an interesting world we live in today. Whilst the tradition of marriage remains a societal institution it's relevance in other ways is certainly changing. Is the pre-nuptial agreement simply a means of making sure the likely end of a marriage is done fairly?!!?

As a British male in my early 30s, marriage is not something I think about everyday, but it is at the back of my mind and still there. Recently whilst browsing the web I came across this article on the prenuptial agreement in Thailand which highlighted a number of interesting issues. Firstly that a international prenuptial agreements appear to be having more validity the world over, in reference to the high profile German case. Also interestingly was that instead of the main income earner being awarded ownership of surplus in assets (after the financial needs of their previous spouse had been met), there was a shift to equal sharing. Marriage continues to evolutionise.

Now I am thinking do I ‘need’ a pre-nuptial agreement, or is it likely my wife to be will want one even if I don’t!

In Texas, most mediation seems to be caucus style, although the mediation training normally is non-caucus. Mediation in Texas family law cases without attorneys participating is rare. However it is done here, mediation is very effective in family law cases. Somehow we have adapted and overcome the legitimate issues you mentioned.
In contrast, our Collaborative cases rely exclusively on joint meetings, which I prefer. It is interesting how variations in practice develop across the country.
